Designer and ceramicist, Amir Smolnik was born in 1975 in Haïfa, Israël.
He moved to paris in 1997 to study at the École Superieure des Arts et Techniques de la Mode (ESMOD) and graduated in 2000 with a menswear design degree.
Following graduation Amir worked as a ready-to-wear designer for several leading fashion houses, then as a design studio director for a leather-goods brand.
In 2011 he decided to go freelance in order to diversify his activities. He continued designing clothes and accessories, and at the same time embraced art direction, graphic design, teaching and more…
Ceramics started in 2006 when, out of pure passion, he began taking wheel-throwing classes simply as a hobby. improving his technique and defining his style over the years, amir has since been invited to participate in exhibitions both in Paris and NYC
Gradually, more galleries, architects and private collectors coveted his work.
Encouraged by these positive experiences and enthusiastic feedback, Amir has now established his own ceramic studio and dedicates himself fully to his art. He is currently living in Paris and working on several new projects.
